Checklist of items for HAVAN/SATSANG  

  1. Havan Kund (lined with Aluminum foil)
  2. A large metallic tray or thaal to hold the kund
  3. 4 Bricks to put underneath tray or thaal
  4. Havan Samagri – 1 package
  5. Samidha (wood – can be bought at an Indian store or use dried twigs from your backyard)
  6. Ghee (melted) in a metallic bowl with table spoon (with long handle if possible)
  7. Halwa in a small bowl for aahuti (oblation)
  8. 6 Thalis or plates to hold Samagri , Diya and flowers,
  9. 8 tablespoons
  10. 8 Katoris
  11. Jugs (1 for havan , few more for water (specially during the summer)
  12. Candle, Diya and Match Box
  13. Cotton
  14. Camphor
  15. Flowers  ( for Ashirwaad, for decoration optional)
  16. Aluminum foil
  17. Dhoop, Agarbathi (both optional) – some people are allergic to these
  18. Napkins or Paper towels
  19. For Serving Prashad/Preeti Bhojan:
  20. Napkins
  21. Paper towels
  22. Disposable plates
  23. Disposable hot glasses
  24. Disposable cold drink glasses
  25. Disposable spoons
  26. Serving Trays
  27. Large serving spoons (depending on items to be served)
  28. TEA ITEMS:
  29. Tea bags
  30. Milk
  31. Sugar
  32. Cardamom ground (optional)
  33. Teapots ( if not using the electric coffee maker available at the Church)
  34. Two table cloths
  35. Soda  and ice(optional)
